The start of a New Year. It always feels like it can contain a multitude of possibilities, so much potential. What will happen this year. Maybe this year will be the year of all years!! This year we are hoping to become home owners, and of course it would go without saying then that we would become owned by a cat or two too.
My New Year's resolution for 2012 is to learn how to fish and then clean and cook it. I am aiming for a bit of deep sea fishing but I am only hoping to catch fish that are eatable, I am not interested in the big game fishing. I think that is a fairly decent New Year's resolution.

I guess I should cover what has been going on since Christmas. Reece and I saw in the New Year in Melbourne at a friends place, I think we were playing monopoly at the time and Reece was dominating. I appeared to be enjoying jail a lot but by that time of the game that was safer than landing on one of his hotel infested properties. It was the Australian edition and I didn't like it that much. I prefer the traditional. I didn't like paying in millions of dollars. And the property prices were fairly skewed to me.
We flew back to Perth only to fly to Adelaide the following weekend. I was catching up with Nola and Walter, who were over from London and my cousin Darren over there. The weather was cracker. The best thing would be to direct you to Nola's blog as she has already written up all the going's on. I really only thing to add to it is about our accommodation. We were staying in the McLaren Vale at Kidogo Cottage and it was lovely and private and everything you could need. I liked how we were overlooking the vineyards and how secluded it was.
We are back into work again and of course it feels like I could do with another holiday. We don't have much planned for the rest of the month. Catching up with friends after the holiday period and I am sure there will be plenty of organising for events coming up.
I will leave you with a couple of pics:

Hi Karen, thanks for the training. Here is a link for Ellas painting website; her knitting teaching and commissions are less easy to show off. Now that Jo Sharps shop is shut she is doing the class from home and at the moment is finishing someone's pink jumper on commission. Chris
see ellaallenartist.com.au for some paintings for your new home ;-)
